TV5 media release
From 1 October 2005, TV5 will change satellites for broadcasting in Asia.
Please note that for people receiving TV5 via a subscription to cable or satellite, no intervention is necessary. You will continue to receive TV5 without any interruption or modification on your part.
For those of you who receive the TV5 signal with an individual parabolic antenna directed at Asiast 2 and a numeric receiver, you must, in order to continue to receive TV5, orient your parabola to the position 105,5° East (Asiasat satellites 3S).
You will have until 31 December 2005 to complete this operation. After this time, you will no longer be able to receive TV5 via Asiasat 2.
The new reception parameters to enter into your receiver are the following :
Frequency : 3760 MHz
Polarisation : Horizontal
Multiplex Signal Output (Symbol Rate) : 26000
FEC : 7/8
The orbital position (105.5°) will allow you access to dozens of numeric channels and radios, free of charge. To find out the reception parameters of these numeric programmes which are available on Asiasat 3S, please consult the following internet website : http://www.lyngsat.com/asia3s.html
The TV5 office is at you disposition for any additional information you may require. It thanks viewers in advance for their cooperation, and assures you that every possible measure has been put in place to improve the quality of the proposed service.
Best Regards
